Underbelly update

hmm the big question now is will it, won't it? The pre-release on the website has been pulled and there's plenty of people out there who don't want it seen - including the family of the character I play.

"The Workmans' family lawyer, Stan Waites, said episode one, The Black Prince, was way off track to portray Greg Workman "as a cowardly and subservient fat slob"."

I played a man who was in the wrong place at the wrong time, I didn't see his actions as cowardly - he just wanted to get out alive. At the end of the day it's up to casting to select who they want for the role and the actor to play the part as briefed and according to their own approach to acting. It's acting. It will never be real.

Hi Lliam; long-time reader, first-time commenter!

I'm sorry that we won't get to see "Underbelly" here in Victoria until the injunction is lifted... I hope it's nothing like NSW had to wait for "Blue Murder"! I've been looking forward to it ever since you posted about it last year, and especially when Nine started promoting it over summer.

Here's hoping that if we can't see "Underbelly" now, then at least we will see your stirling talents on display somewhere else in the near future.

Thanks Jak. Last rumour I heard was that it could be up to a 5 year wait...

I'm hoping to be shot and banned on all good Dramas this year.

Cheers
